Join Smart Data Research UK’s Social Platforms Data Access Taskforce for a webinar exploring the key barriers that researchers face when scraping data.
Data scraping is an essential but increasingly complex part of digital research. The practice is surrounded by legal uncertainty, ethical dilemmas, and platform restrictions that make it more challenging for researchers to access and analyse online content.
These technical and institutional barriers reduce transparency and can impede robust and ethical social media research at scale.
During this session, the taskforce team will discuss these challenges and consider some of the ways forward.
