Lunch and Learn – Creating improved access to research data through user centric data portal

At this Women in Data event, the hosts will take the audience through the development of the data catalogue built for our Healthy and Sustainable Places Data Service (HASP) at the University of Leeds.
HASP, one of six data services in the Smart Data Research UK family, acquires, stewards and enables safe access to smart data for research. Its data catalogue allows researchers to search for datasets, check the metadata and make access requests.
The project used the Five Safes Framework with an emphasis on transparency around metadata sharing and quick access to Tier 0 and 1 data.
