Dougie Robb is CEO of Smart Data Foundry (SDF), home to our Financial Data Service (FINDS). Smart Data Foundry is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The University of Edinburgh and brings together financial services organisations, regulators, fintechs, researchers and government with a common goal – to use data in a safe way people can trust to inspire new innovation and deliver economic, social and environmental benefits for everyone.​

Dougie has been a pivotal member of leadership team since SDF’s inception. He was key to establishing the organisation’s vision of opening financial data for good as well creating dedicated data science and technology teams to support that vision, and securing SDF’s earliest data-sharing agreements with NatWest Group and Sage UK.
