Dr David Zendle is director of our Smart Data Donation Service and leads the Digital Observatory at the University of York.
David is a data scientist whose work deals with the impact of technology on society.
His work includes building evidence-based policy into digital behaviour and potential harm across video games, social media, and gambling. His most recent work has focused on collecting and leveraging large-scale datasets of digital behaviour to address questions regarding such harms.
David is interim Chair of the body that advises the UK Gambling Commission regarding harm and safety (the Advisory Board for Safer Gambling).
