Dr Richard Snape is co-director of our Smart Energy Data Service. He is a senior modelling consultant at Energy Systems Catapult.

Richard has worked with energy systems data for the past 15 years, latterly in the Dynamic Energy Systems Simulation group at the Catapult following ten years in academia. He has managed large projects and teams in application areas from software engineering to railway maintenance. 

Although an engineer at heart, Richard enjoys combining social and physical systems’ data to generate new insights and maximise social value from collected data.
