Dr Mingyu Zhu is a researcher at the University of Glasgow working on urban data science, digital twins, and infrastructure systems. Trained originally as an architect, his work bridges engineering, social sciences, and design to examine how social, civic, and environmental infrastructure adapts to urbanisation, climate change, and societal transitions. He uses mixed methods including urban big data analysis, participatory research, and simulation-based modelling, with the aim of supporting more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient built environments.
