Welcoming new members to the SDR UK Programme Board

We are pleased to welcome five new members to the Smart Data Research UK (SDR UK) Programme Board.

The Programme Board advises the ESRC Executive Director, who is the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for SDR UK. It does this by overseeing the strategic development and delivery of the programme.

Our new members are:

• Mike Ball, Associate Director of Data Science at the Medical Research Council
• Anne-Marie Canning, UKRI Opportunity Mission Challenge Director
• Emla Fitzsimons, Professor and Director of the Centre for Longitudinal Studies
• Emma Gordon, Director of Administrative Data Research UK
• Cassie Smith, Director of Legal, Trust and Ethics at Health Data Research UK

Their experience across health data, longitudinal research, administrative data and public trust will help guide SDR UK as it continues to grow.

We also say goodbye to Amy Orben, Gaia Marcus and David Halpern, who are ending their terms on the Board. We would like to thank them for their expertise and valuable contributions during their time as members, and we look forward to working with them again in future as SDR UK develops.
